The Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, B.C. is one of the most beautiful places in the world to have engagement photos taken. One of the challenges in photographing in the mountains is actually getting to the top of the overlook in order to get a view of the surrounding beauty but thanks to the wonderful people who started this tourism and hiking gondola we need simply park just off the Sea to Sky Highway, walk to the counter, buy our ticket and ride up to the top. Up there you will find delicious food, a souvenir shop and manicured trails heading in many directions. Of course you can still hike up to the top, but that wouldn’t leave a whole lot of energy for pictures once you reach it.
I love this particular image so much! The view we have from here is just stunning, I don’t know many other words to describe it. They have built a walkway out over one of the cliffs with a view of the Stawamas Chief to the right, the Pacific Ocean to the left and this spot leaves me in awe every time I’m here.
The suspension bridge which connects the main viewing platform with an auxiliary viewing area and we really wanted to get some depth of field against the bridge so we photographed this with the 105mm f/1.4 and created a 32 photo panoramic stitched photo which we put together in photoshop afterwards and I love the results! This photo now hangs above the client’s bed 7 feet wide.

After our trek up the mountain we stopped by Lighthouse Point park in North Vancouver as the couple loves arbutus trees, so we had to create a few images with them prominently featured :). A fascinating tree, and a fantastic couple.
