The latest in our Epic Engagement Shoot series is the lovely Yellowstone National Park with Karen & Rui. Earlier this spring we ventured into the wilderness of the U.S. to use this gorgeous park as our backdrop for some pre-wedding engagement photos.
One thing we can be sure of when venturing to the mountains is inconsistent weather :). We had everything from -4 degrees and snowing to 18 degrees and sunny all in the same day. We were very fortunate during our shooting session at Mammoth Hot Springs to have beautiful morning light and bright sunshine. We went to many other locations such as the West Thumb Geyser Basin, Grand Prismatic, Norris Geyser Basin, Yellowstone Lake, The Little Grand Canyon and Fountain Paint Pot. Some of the locations we were shut out completely due to weather and some we were able to use and show off their true natural beauty. When travelling around this grand park one can’t help but be struck by the colors and strange amazing features found everywhere around us.
Rui & Karen joined us on this epic adventure and it was such a pleasure to have them along for the fun. It was a time of discovery for them along with the result of some amazing photos for their walls.
The next day after our Yellowstone shoot we decided to head south to the Grand Teton National park for a second pre-wedding engagement shoot. It was our first time to Grand Teton and what a first trip it was. As we drove into the park the clouds covered the mountains which are the view of the park. As we drove through we were graced with a bit of wind and the clouds moved out of the way just long enough for us to enjoy the view and get a few pictures.
