Luxurious, fun, beautiful, multicultural and fantastic are all words I would use to describe Davin & Maria’s wedding which took place on a sunny August day at St. Paul’s Basilica and the Liberty Grand. This Canadian and Sri Lankan wedding held the ceremony at one of the most beautiful churches in Toronto and we headed over for some Knox College wedding photos at the U of T.
Maria and Davin were hoping for some beautiful photos which incorporated the architecture of an old building, which there are many of at the U of T, so we had the grounds for some time to create some awesome pics. It was then on to the bus to Liberty Grand where the evening was filled with fun, dances, special performances and a Sri Lankan marriage tradition.
The color and vibrance of the Sri Lankan portion of the evening was beautiful. Couple that with Maria’s wonderful design and vision for the wedding and the variety and beauty they have in their photos shows the tradition of the catholic wedding ceremony and the beauty of the Sri Lankan culture. I love the colorful selection of socks Davin had for his groomsmen.
The Hyatt Regency Toronto lobby was a great place to take some individual wedding photos with our groom. I love this group photo which Sherry set up and executed with just a few minutes to go before heading off to the ceremony. The bride getting ready to walk down the aisle. The gorgeous and ornate St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto. A great place for a wedding.
