Just a few kilometers South of mainland Toronto, on the gorgeous Lake Ontario, is a small chain of islands known as the Toronto Islands. Tourists can travel to this beautiful destination via ferry, which only takes about fifteen minutes. The island is full of a variety of attractions to enjoy such as the Centreville Amusement Park, Toronto Island Park, and Gibraltar Point Lighthouse. The island also has several different beaches that are each unique and stunning in their own way. The best part about this extravagant landmark in Southern Ontario is the unlimited photo opportunities. While the parks and beaches are lovely year-round, nothing beats the incredible view of the Toronto skyline. Although the island feels secluded from the city, looking towards the North you will be in awe of the tall skyscrapers, office buildings, and of course the CN Tower. I enjoy doing engagement shoots at this location, especially with couples that are from the GTA, because the skyline is very recognizable and makes a great Save the Date or invitation for a Toronto Wedding. This shot was captured on a clear, sunny, day, which is perfect weather for exploring the area. I love the shades of blue in the backdrop that reflect off of the water and the buildings behind the happy couple.
