Fall Stanley Park Engagement Photos

The first time I saw the fall colours in Stanley Park I was in awe. It is my favourite spot to take engagement photos in Vancouver during late September, early October and is the best spot to take in the beautiful Canadian red, yellow and orange trees. Stanley Park is the best place to take engagement pictures in the fall in Vancouver.

If you’re looking to take amazing pictures during a pre-wedding session in Vancouver, take a walk around the park and stop at every amazing spot you see. There are red maples that are almost luminescent, the rich yellow and oranges are there for the taking as you’ll see in the photos below, and because some of the leaves have already fallen, the beautiful oaks give the most amazing texture to backgrounds.

The Proposal – That Led to Stanley Park in the Fall

“I arrived home to hear Hall and Oat’s ‘You make my dreams come true’ playing in our apartment. There was no sign of Greg anywhere, but a big bouquet of red roses and a red picture book of our 6 years together, with a beautiful love story. Attached was a note with directions to get changed, have a snack (I often get hangry) and go downstairs where my ride would pick me up. I was freaking out at this point!!!

Outside was a large Limo bus waiting for me, with my driver ready to take me up to Grouse Mountain.

I arrived to Grouse and in the car park our car was parked with a ticket resting on the passenger seat for my trip up the mountain gondola.

I reached the top of the mountain and Greg instructed me by text to walk along the ‘Light walk’ Path and take right turn at a secluded area.

There he was waiting for me, dressed in a full suit under a string of twinkly lights.

He told me how much he loved me and got down on one knee… I said yes!

The rest was a blur of happiness and too much champagne! A night spent in the Fairmont, a beautiful dinner in hawksworth restaurant and hours spent on facetime calling our family and friends around the world to share our exciting news.”
