Pavel & Mariam’s recent wedding in Cambridge, Ontario had the feel of a fairytale princess wedding her prince amongst the gorgeous greenery of a forest location. Mariam’s desire for everything to perfect was achieved by the choice of their wedding venue and reception. The free-flying butterflies and birds, tropical plants, waterfalls, streams, reflecting pools at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory combined to make a breath-taking natural backdrop for their vows. From the bridge ceremony location, to the gentle notes floating from the harp, to the commemorative release of live butterflies in the conservatory, this evening ceremony was magical!
Mariam had put her whole heart into planning special touches for the wedding. She wore her great-grandmother’s ring as her “something old, something blue and something borrowed”. Mariam also crafted the wedding card box, guest book, and signing pen. She made a stunning princess in her Stella York gown from Taylor’s Bridal and shoes by Paradox London, carrying flowers designed by Elaine at The Potting Shed. Pavel was her perfect Prince Charming…but we all know this day focuses on the beauty of the bride!
The reception was held at another fantastic Cambridge venue – The Rose Room at Whistle Bear Golf Club. Golf clubs are always a great choice because of the natural landscapes they provide. In Whistle Bear’s case, the elegant clubhouse and delicious cuisine continued the fairytale wedding for Mariam, Pavel and their guests. The romance of the evening was aided by 20-foot ceilings with sparkling crystal chandeliers, and the pink and cream décor by Ainsley Poirier-Craig from Fresh Look Design. Karen at The Little Cake Company designed their floral-inspired wedding cake. We are always pleased when our couples are treated well, and Whistle Bear did an outstanding job of being organized and helping to pull off a memorable reception. All in all, it was a wonderful celebration of love, and we hope you’ll enjoy looking through this small sample of photos from Mariam and Pavel’s wedding day.
